Where Is Your Map For The Road of Life? (pt.1 of 3)

You should not travel in an unknown territory without a map. You certainly need one for the road of life. It is important that you write it down and study it. Your map eventually determines your character.

Your map should have the following.

  1. Your “self-worth”.
  2. How important do you think you are? Your self -worth should never depend on the size of your chest r or the shape of your thighs. Your self-worth depends on your inner you. You are made by God. This alone makes you a highly valuable being. If you have patience and are caring, if you are fair, if you are moral, if you are helpful, and if you are responsible, then you are invaluable.

Once you realize your worth, you will not listen when people tell you that  you are stupid or no good. You will not accept abuse. You will demand to be treated with respect or will leave a relationship. But if you have low self-esteem, people will abuse you and you will have a life filled with pain.

You should realize that you are complete in yourself and therefore are not scared of living alone. You do not become complete in a relationship. You only share your whole self in relationship.

  3. Your source of power”.
  4. You would not leave home without charging your cell phone. Why not charge yourself with a prayer to God? It is better than any-anxiety medication, tranquilizers, or anti-depressants. It is a great source of strength. It helps you handle panic attacks. It prevents you from making mistakes. Pray twice daily. Also, get strength from religious books.

  5. How much “you value your health and brain”.
  6. If you are concerned about being optimally fit, you will eat the right food, take the right meals and do the necessary exercise. You will stay way from addiction. You will not seat too much or too littlie.

  7. Your “education”.
  8. This will determine how you will support yourself. Even if you just want to get married, you must be able to support the family in case your husband falls ill. So, you will have to decide what sort of education you should have.

  9. Your “values and beliefs”.
    • What line of morality will you refuse to cross?
    • Your values should require that:
    • You will speak the truth, You will be honest.
    • You will keep your word, You will be courteous.
    • You will not throw pearls before people who will not appreciate them.
    • You will offer excellence
    • You will be cheerful
    • You will dress well and live in neat surroundings.
    • You will be alert if something puzzles you or makes no sense.
    • You will not waste your love on those who do not value it.
    • You will not flit from man to man or woman to woman, but will choose your mate carefully. (To be continued)
  10. This includes your sense of what is right and wrong. What are your fundamental
    beliefs?
