MONOLOGUE OF A YOUNG LADY: ON FUEL HIKES - PART 2 - Miss Dorcas Asare

But I just can’t comprehend how we’re expected to live this way. We are young, you know, some of us. We can barely find any dignified work to do and yet, we’re forced to live like undignified soldiers in a war zone. But do you know what is the least entertaining of this reality? We see it happen differently elsewhere. Our fortunate friends outside the country, tell us of their incredible time touring and it’s not because they’re millionaires, oh God no! It’s just because there is logic behind how much they earn, and how much they’re able to save to indulge in these basic necessities, or luxury in some of our cases.

I wouldn’t want to go into the panic I feel waking up everyday in this country. And if I in my employed state feel this way, then even the pages of this book can not hide the desperation my unemployed friends feel.

But is there any respite for us? Because the government seems to grow blinder everyday. But well, how can i not call them blind if they can’t perceive the agony we live in. Because I think they’re too good to be dump right? Let’s just pray our doctors have a solution for self-afflicted myopia because I’m not sure they have discovered any for hydrophobia.
