Reflection
Today we celebrate the kingship of Christ. Christ’s Kingship rests in love and service and not in worldly pomp and pageantry. He serves and respects his subjects as King. We his follows are called upon to emulate the beautiful example of the servant –King. This is because it is by the criteria of active love that on the day of judgment, everyone, Christian and non-Christian, will be judged. All our rituals, our ceremonies and piety will be considered useless and trivial if they were not based on true love for one another demonstrated in daily life. Remember it is our love and service that will be examined on the last day and not our strength and power.
