1st  Reading:Prov31: 10-13,19-20,30-31
 We are presented with  the portrait of the ideal wife who is faithful, creative, charitable and kind.  Her value is far beyond pearls.
2nd  Reading: 1 Thes 5:1-6 
 St. Paul cautions the  Thessalonians to be awake and sober since nobody knows the day or hour of the  Lord’s coming.
Gospel: Mt 25:14-30
 The parable of the  Talents is a challenge to use our gifts and opportunities to achieve the good  that God expects from us. The worst option is to bury our talent and make no  use of it.
Reflection
 God  as a loving Father has endowed us his children with beautiful and wonderful  gifts. We are called to develop these gifts, big or small without comparing  them enviously with what others have received. God give according to our  abilities. Despite our tendencies always  to compare ourselves with others, the actual number and quality is not  important. We are only asked to make full use of what we have been uniquely  given and to use them for the benefit of the community as a whole. When  everyone does that the community is enriched
