Title: “TRUST IN THE DIVINE MERCY OF GOD.”
Quote: Jn 20:19-31
Date: Sunday, 7th April, 2024
Author: Rev. Fr. Clement Quagraine

Today, on the second Sunday of Easter, the Church commemorates "Divine Mercy Sunday," acknowledging God’s abundant mercy and compassion for humanity, manifested through His son’s redemptive work. Out of His unmerited Divine Mercy for His disciples and humanity, who had betrayed Him, Jesus appeared to the fearful disciples, granting them peace to calm their anxieties (John 20:19–31). Likewise, our trust and devotion to Divine Mercy not only bring us peace but also provide comfort in times of suffering and inspire forgiveness when we are hurt, as well as the courage to seek forgiveness from others. Moreover, our continuous trust in Divine Mercy leads to growth in faith, exemplified by the transformation of Thomas from doubt to unwavering faith when Jesus revealed His wounds to him. Let us seize the opportunity to seek His divine mercy and approach Him for help in all aspects of our lives.
