On the Second Sunday of Lent, we move from Jesus’ retreat to the desert and temptation by the devil to the glory shown in his Transfiguration.  Beloved, the transfiguration is a call for us to rise from our preoccupation with lowly things while striving and longing for higher values.  It encourages us to rise from the base to the tops.  In life, we grow by changing and availing ourselves for Christ to cause that change in us.  May Christ who is the agent of positive change and growth improve us and enable us obtain a renewal new opportunities and beginnings.  Amen
