Title: BE PRUDENT
Quote: Lk 16:1-13
Date: Thursday, 6th October, 2016
Author: Rev. Fr. George Obeng Appah

In today's gospel, Jesus acknowledges the mind-set of the world, and how such people think and act. He acknowledges that this is not all evil, but he points out that there are lessons to be learned from such "worldly wisdom." The riches he offers are so much more precious than the riches of the world, and, therefore, should be handled with much greater care. Jesus speaks about the wisdom of this world, and he says that it can actually be used for good. "Use your worldly resources to make friends. In this way, your generosity stores up a reward for you in heaven." Not everything in the world is evil. It can, of course, become corruptive, if it dominates and controls our actions and our thinking.
