In our first reading from the Book of Wisdom (6:12-16), we discover the fervent desire for wisdom—a treasure we are called to actively seek.

This pursuit sets the stage for the Gospel (Matthew 25:1-13), where all were invited to perform a specific task of lighting up the way for the bridegroom.. The parable illustrates that while the invitation and worthiness were equal, some proved wiser. The wise virgins didn't merely carry lamps; they prepared for the unexpected by bringing extra oil. Our lives mirror this parable. We're all invited to faith, yet wisdom calls us to be proactive. It's not just acknowledging faith but actively living it—anticipating the unexpected turns in our journey.
