Christian Village

Christian village community is one of the communities of the St. Thomas More and John Fisher Catholic Church Achimota.

LOCATION
The community lies on the left side from Achimota town along the Golf Park to Legon.

ACTIVITIES
– Members of the community meet once a month to discuss ways of helping the Church grow.
– We visit the sick and the aged, and also members who are not very regular. We discuss the Word of God with them and offer our wisdows mite. We also take active part in organisation and celebration of funerals of deceased members.
– The executive is in the process of helping members to register properly with the church.

ACHIEVEMENTS
The only Catholic institution within the pastoral jurisdiction of the Church is in the community – the Immaculate Heart of Mary Basic School. The establishment of this school in 1952 was master-minded by the following people; Messrs George Amuzu, Raphel K. Agbomadzi, Bernard Eklu, Teacher John Kwame Eklu, John Kodo and others.
