PENTECOST NOVENA PRAYER – 2011

PRIEST/LEADER:
Let us now, in the face of persecution, trials and challenges, raise our voices together in prayer, as the early Christians did and say:

CONGREGATION:
Sovereign Lord, you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.
You spoke by the Holy spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David; “Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his Anointed one.
Indeed the Herods and the Pontius Pilates meet together with unbelievers and detractors to conspire against your church, and your Holy Servant Jesus, whom you anointed.
Now, Lord consider these threats and enable us your servants to speak your word with great boldness.
Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders in our lives and the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra through the name of your Holy Servant Jesus. Amen.
